Brisbane-based illustrator James Brouwer has worked as a pre-production and concept artist on a range of film, TV and games projects for companies such as Space Age Films, the Disney Channel, Krome Studios and THQ on franchises including The Clone Wars and The Avengers.
Brouwer moved into comics in 2011 with The Deep: Here Be Dragons, and has since also illustrated for DC Comics.
Brouwer’s work on The Deep Vol.1: Here Be Dragons and The Deep: Vol.2 The Vanishing Island has been recognised with Aurealis Awards for ‘Best Illustrated Book/Graphic Novel’ for their respective years of publication.
