With a soundtrack kindly provided by Blistur, the trailer sets the tone for the series, the first chapter of which is now available to purchase as a digital comic.

Kevin and Steven will be situation at Table D22 where they will be making a special convention exclusive version of Stalag-X #1 available for free to all attendees from the 31st May 2013.

The official launch will take place on the main stage on Sunday, 2nd June at 11am, where Kevin and Steven will be talking about the book, unveiling more sneak peeks and premiering the promotional trailer.

The official release of Stalag-X #1, featuring cover art by fan-favorite Dave Dorman, will be available from the 1st June 2013.

Taylor was pleased at the prospect of more readers finding their way to his first published comics work.

“The Example is the play, and then the comic, that launched my career.  From this story sprang a partnership with the great Colin Wilson that would see us spend years in the ‘Star Wars’ universe together,” he said. “It’s wonderful to now see that little fictional briefcase from Melbourne spread its fear into another language. Gestalt’s Editor-in-Chief, Wolfgang Bylsma, is delighted that more European language versions of Gestalt titles are appearing.

The Vanishing Island is the next entry (in hopefully a long series of OGNs), after the Aurealis Award winning debut of 2011. The Deep: Here Be Dragons by Tom Taylor and James Brouwer focused on the undersea adventures of the delightful and diverse Nekton family.

Now, Taylor and Brouwer are back and have crafted another entertaining, smile inducing tale. To put it in the vernacular off the kids of today I “LOL’d.” Several times in fact. Taylor is having a great run at the moment, with his work on each issue of the Injustice: Gods Among Us videogame tie-comic from DC rocketing to the top of the sales charts, and news that The Deep is now wisely in development as a 26 part animated series, which is an obvious choice, as anyone who’s enjoyed the Nektons’ tales will attest…

As of  7th January 2013 the theme for the OzComics draw-off challenge will be the Gestalt Comics series of all-ages graphic novels, The Deep!
